The NZ Maori used Manuka Oil and Kanuka Oil (Both types of tea tree) as an antiseptic and has been used to treat diarrhoea, inflammation, wounds and burns, for centuries. Nowadays, Manuka Oil is used directly on the skin to treat acne, insect bites and stings, dandruff, and in diffusers to boost immunity and build up defences for colds and flu.
